‘Gentle Matter’ is the new single from Elle Chante. It’s a powerful, radiant track that shows off her unique voice above a celestial accompaniment. The self-produced beat behind her voice is glassy and airy, with the twinkle of tuned percussion colliding with the gentle patter of synths and pads. Chante has also released her new EP, Umbra, which pulls from her experiences of cancer treatment: “When I was first diagnosed I felt a huge lack of representation for young people with cancer. I felt completely stranded. I was the first of my friendship/age group to experience cancer and not having anybody to relate to made it even more alienating.
